End The Stigma
There’s NO AMOUNT of exercise, running, yoga, hiking, lifting weights, going to the spa, meditating, praying, reading, drinking or medication that can heal unresolved issues.
No amount!
Unresolved issues has to be processed, it has to be talked about. Pushing it aside every time it tries to arise, will only make it worse. You can eat healthier, exercise more — but mentally and emotionally you are not well.
If you still find yourself defensive, angry a lot, impatient, lonely, insecure, confused, sleepless, anxious, irritable, cannot concentrate, drinking more, emotionally cut off or isolated, even after all the self-care activities you do — then maybe there’s a deeper issue that needs to be resolved.
Seek a professional. Speaking to a therapist needs to be a part of everyone’s self-care activities. Expensive? No its not. It’s less than what you pay your gym or your yoga studio or your protein shakes. It’s time to put your emotional and mental health as a priority to find fulfillment and peace. Because no amount of gym time can heal your loss, shame or guilt.
Stop shaming the brave ones who seek therapy to find fulfillment and live better, happier and peaceful lives.
It’s dangerous to keep shaming mental health and it’s dangerous to prevent yourself or others from getting the professional help you need.
