Are you having trouble achieving healthy relationships at home because of work?
Has your work cause you to drink, gamble or take drugs to escape?
Do you feel like you are suffering from compassion fatigue from helping others while you are neglecting your own health and your own family?
Do you feel like you have vicarious trauma from hearing and seeing the horrible experiences of the patients and victims you encounter?
As health care professionals, you are constantly exposed to extraordinary situations, such as life & death, natural calamities and you see first hand the hopelessness in individuals. Most medical professionals and first responders enter the medical field with the hopes of helping others and making a difference, only to feel burnout due to self neglect and the lack of support.
I am familiar with the culture in the medical field of glorifying self-neglect. I have been in that situation when work was overwhelming and everyone else looked the other way when I needed empathy and support. Therapy helped me find ways to cope with the stresses of work, family life and other stuff that life threw at me. I know what you’re going through and I can help you through this. I am passionate about helping first responders and medical professionals and I am dedicated in helping improve the mental and emotional wellbeing of people who risk their lives to help others.
I am here to help you. My background is in trauma focused therapy. My experience includes working with veterans, health care professionals, women, first responders and millennials. As a yoga practitioner & a leader of community that empowers women, my approach is humanistic, person centered and mindfulness with a little bit of CBT and art therapy.
