3 Questions To Ask Yourself Everyday
- Did I live?
- Did I love?
- Did I matter?
I heard these questions from the writer, Brendan Buchard.
These are the questions we ought to ask ourselves every night before we go to sleep. When you say YES to all of these questions each day, then you lived a good day.
These questions are not asking you to save the world, feed the hungry or even find your perfect partner. These questions are asking you to reflect each day and see if you did your best today. It is saying YES to getting out of bed or out of the house. It is sayings YES to loving yourself, your pet, your job, family or friends. It is saying YES to doing one thing to get closer to your goal – whatever that goal may be (finishing any project, learning something new, creating something, etc.).
Death is part of life. We don’t know when it’ll come. Waking up each day is a gift. You are given another opportunity to get another chance. The chance of it is rare compared to most people in the world. So each day, try to live it to the fullest.
Don’t aim for perfection. Aim for progress. Aim for growth. Tomorrow is not guaranteed so use today as an opportunity to do what brings you joy (even just one thing).
You are valuable.
You are enough.
You did the best you can for today.
